The start of the 2022-2023 school year is here and we are so excited. We have several new students and welcome everyone to school! We also have 4 new staff members: Mrs. Jessica Laxo – Preschool / Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Errica Ingram – Special Education / Life Skills Teacher, Mr. Tom Gauthier – part time Maintenance Technician, and Mrs. Amy Jo Venier – Aide / Behavior Paraprofessional.
One of the many changes this year is to revert back to the usual drop off and pick up location at door #3 at the gym entrance. Please park on Deutsch Avenue to pick up or drop off students. The goal is not to have our school yard filled with cars coming and going. We want to keep our students safe.
*Powell Township School Open House on Wednesday, September 14th from 4 – 6 p.m. including hot dogs for all who attend
*School Hike, Friday, September 23rd, location to be determined
*School picture day, Monday, October 17th. We’ll put out reminders the Friday before.
We also want to reinforce the PAWS program throughout our school and encourage you to do the same at home:
P is for Problem Solve
A is for Accept Responsibility
W is for Work Hard
S is for Show Respect
We had a fabulous first day at school today! There were smiles everywhere and we’re all just thrilled to be back with our students. Thank you for your continued support of the Powell Township School.
